Brian Fagan joined I-RES as Finance Director in April 2021 and was appointed CFO and a Board Director in April 2022. Brian has extensive commercial and financial experience having worked at Board Director/Senior Executive level across a variety of industries from property investment and development, healthcare manufacturing and distribution, oil and gas importation and distribution, agribusiness and manufacturing.

Prior to joining I-RES Brian was CFO for Island Capital and prior to that was Group Finance Director of Ballymore Group, an international property development and investment group with operations in Ireland, the United Kingdom and continental Europe. He also previously worked for DCC plc and acted as Finance Director of Flogas plc. Brian has served as an Executive and non-executive director on a number of Boards including as Chairman and Director of an ICAV.

Alan Kavanagh is an Experienced Senior Operations professional with over 20 years’ experience in the real estate industry spanning the residential and commercial markets in Dublin and London.  He joined I-RES in 2013, and his focus is on driving continuous operational efficiency improvements across the I-RES portfolio of almost 4,000 residential units and 275,000 sq ft of commercial space in Dublin.

Alan is an Associate member of the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. He is also a graduate of TU Dublin and a member of The Institute of Directors.

Anna-Marie Curry, Company Secretary and General Counsel at I-RES,  has over 20 years’ experience in both corporate governance and complex infrastructure transactions.  She is responsible for the corporate governance, legal, compliance and risk teams as well as leading on the Company’s sustainability initiatives and reporting requirements.  Since joining I-RES in 2021, Anna-Marie has developed an in house professional Corporate Secretariat, Legal, risk and compliance function.

Anna-Marie qualified as a solicitor with Arthur Cox and joined I-RES from her role as Company Secretary and General Counsel with Bord na Móna plc where she was responsible for managing and developing the relationship between the Board, the Chair, senior Management and the Shareholder representatives in relevant Government Departments.

Anna-Marie holds a B.A. and LL.B from the University of Galway, an LL.M. from the University of Edinburgh, is a qualified Solicitor and holds a Diploma in Company Law and Direction from the Institute of Directors. 

Michael Boyce acts as an independent director and a consultant to a number of Irish collective investment schemes. Prior to this, he was Executive Director of Northern Trust Investor Services (Ireland) Limited formerly Ulster Bank Investment Services Limited (UBIS) since 1990.

He was Managing Director of Ulster Bank Custodial Services which was the Trustee and Custody operation of Ulster Bank fund’s business from 1990 – 1997. From 1997 – 2000, he was Managing Director of Ulster Investment Bank Investment Services. Following the purchase of UBIS by Northern Trust in May 2000, he was appointed Director of Client Operations with responsibility for servicing a large range of institutional and retail clients. He has worked in the Financial Services industry for over 30 years including stockbroking, fund management and fund administration. He is a graduate of the Michael Smurfit School of Business at UCD from which he holds a Diploma in Corporate Governance. He is a member of the Securities Institute and has served on several committees of the Irish Funds Industry Association. He is also a member of the Institute of Directors Ireland, and a member of the Corporate Governance Association of Ireland.

Simon O’Sullivan has worked in the investment management sector since 1993. From April 2002 to April 2006, he was employed in Dublin by Pioneer Alternative Investments as a product specialist.

In May 2006, he left Pioneer to join his family company as financial controller and in May 2013, Mr. O’Sullivan became a partner in MFL, trading as Risk System, a specialist provider of financial risk solutions to the investment funds industry. He has also worked for Fleming Investment Management as a fund manager in London, and Eagle Star and Merrion Capital, both in Dublin. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Politics, a Master of Arts in Economics, a Master of Sciences in Investment & Treasury Management and a Diploma in Corporate Governance. Mr. O’Sullivan is a non-executive director of a number of investment funds.

Pauline Houlihan is a HR Leader with over 20 years of global experience, Pauline joined the I-RES senior leadership team in January 2025 to lead and develop the People function. 
She combines financial acumen with people-centric leadership, having worked with global firms like Resources Global Professionals and Arthur Cox.

Recognised for building high-performing HR functions aligned with business strategy, Pauline has a proven track record of driving talent strategies that enhance performance.

ACA qualified with a BBS from Trinity College Dublin and a master’s from the UCD Smurfit School, she brings a commercial mindset to HR. Her expertise spans talent strategy, organisational design, performance management, and employee experience fuelling engagement and business growth.

Glen Murphy joined I-RES in 2021. Before I-RES, Glen spent six years at KPMG as an Audit Manager, gaining extensive experience working with Irish and international PLCs. 

With a strong background in financial management and corporate finance, Glen now brings this wealth of knowledge to his leadership role at I-RES.

A Chartered Accountant, Glen holds a degree in Accounting and Finance & a Master’s in Accounting from Dublin City University.

Jeremy O’Sullivan, Managing Director of Capital Markets and Portfolio Management at I-RES, has over 20 years of executive experience in real estate. He is responsible for the portfolio management of the IRES property portfolio, strategic asset management, and asset performance management. His team also plays a leading role in equity and debt capital strategies as well as strategic partnership activities. Previously CFO at Quintain Developments Ireland, Jeremy led the finance function there for five years, securing over €900M in debt funding to deliver 3,000 homes and 100,000 square feet of commercial space.

Jeremy holds an MBA from Manchester University, a B.A. in Economics from UCD, a Diploma in Corporate Finance from Chartered Accountants Ireland, and is a member of the Institute of Bankers in Ireland.

Mr. Fagan has significant international property development experience, having spent seven years as chief financial officer of Island Capital an international real estate oriented investment company and sixteen years as group finance director of Ballymore Group, an international property development and investment group with operations in Ireland, the United Kingdom and continental Europe. 

Prior to that, Mr. Fagan worked for DCC plc and as Finance Director for Flogas plc. Mr. Fagan also has experience in the regulated funds sector having previously held Central Bank of Ireland approved roles.
